Every woman has cosmetics, which can be conditionally divided into two parts: care and decorative. According to dermatologists, the first part of the cosmetic bag can definitely be reduced if you choose the right care, and one of the products can be thrown out altogether and never bought again, reports Doctor Peter.

As the dermatovenereologist, trichologist Anastasia Elistratova said, we are talking about a facial scrub. Marketers assure that this tool must be used without fail, especially for those who have oily skin.

However, the expert gave a few facts about this tool that you should know before purchasing such a product. First of all, scrub particles leave microtraumas on the skin. They also damage the skin’s protective barrier, provoke inflammation and increase the risk of infection, the appearance of pustules.

And injured skin is prone to dehydration. In addition, it is more prone to aging.

According to Elistratova, it does not matter if the scrub contains mineral or plant particles. There is no therapeutic effect whatsoever. The aesthetic effect is also more than doubtful: the particles scrape off the cells unevenly, so that the picture of smooth, healthy skin will not work, the doctor added.

At the same time, she emphasized that peeling is completely different, it does not carry the same harm as a scrub.
