The government of St. Petersburg intends to introduce fines for hotel business owners for late or non-payment of resort fees.
The fine for tourists will be from 500 to 2 thousand rubles, in case of repeated violation – from 1 to 5 thousand rubles.
Hotels for violation of the procedure for the implementation of the law on the resort fee, the terms of accrual and collection of the resort fee will have to pay more. So, if the hotel operates as an individual entrepreneur, then the amount of the fine will be 3 thousand rubles, for legal entities – 10 thousand rubles. In case of repeated violation, the amount rises to 5 and 30 thousand rubles, respectively.
For violation of the calculation and collection of fees, a fine is provided – 10 thousand rubles for legal entities and 5 thousand rubles for individual entrepreneurs.
The largest fines are provided for the delay in transferring money to the budget. Individual entrepreneurs will have to pay 50 thousand rubles, legal entities – 75 thousand rubles. In case of repeated violation, the amount will increase to 100 and 150 thousand rubles, respectively.
The resort tax in St. Petersburg will be introduced in the experimental format from August, its amount will be 100 rubles per day.
