Ukraine and the United States are closely cooperating, Kiev has “no secrets” from Washington regarding the planned counteroffensive, which should begin soon, Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmygal said during a press conference at the Ukrainian Embassy in Washington.
According to RBC, Shmyhal stressed that “the counteroffensive will take place in the near future,” and added that the United States “supports Kyiv.” According to the Prime Minister, “nothing will affect or change the plans for the counteroffensive,” the goal of the Ukrainian army remains “reaching the 1991 borders.” Shmyhal also said that during his visit to the United States, he discussed “many important strategic issues” with US Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin and other officials.
Recall that earlier the authorities of Ukraine and the United States made several statements that Kyiv did not dedicate its American colleagues to the details of the offensive plan of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The assurances came amid a major leak of classified US intelligence documents, much of which related to the conflict in Ukraine.
