Two people killed and four wounded after violent events in Los Ríos

Two violent events were recorded on the night of this Friday 19 in towns in the province of Los Ríos.

Around 20:00 a shooting occurred in the San Lorenzo parish, in the Nicaragua sector, belonging to Vinces. One person died in the act, while four were injured.

The deceased was identified as Ronald Fuentes Posligua. The wounded were taken in tricimotos to a hospital in the canton.

Dozens of people came to the outside of the health home to identify the injured and find out their health.

According to eyewitness accounts, four individuals who were mobilizing on two motorcycles fired at a group of people who were outside a Vinces rehabilitation center.

Relatives of the victims have not commented on the matter in this case. The Police are investigating this attack.

In the Bellavista Uno sector, in the Ventanas canton, citizen Jonathan Carrera was killed with seven shots. This violent event took place around 10:00 p.m. on Friday the 19th.

The victim, known to his friends and family as Bitito, was taken to the Jaime Roldós Aguilera hospital after the attack. However, in that health home the doctors confirmed his death.

Police officers are investigating this case. It is the second violent death in the canton in less than 48 hours. On the morning of this Thursday 18, Eduardo Miguez Palacios was shot when he was walking down Ernesto Briones Street.

The 30-year-old man received more than 22 gunshot wounds. His perpetrators fled on a motorcycle. (I)
