Moscow has introduced an electronic format for applying for admission to schools. As Deputy Mayor of Moscow Anastasia Rakova explained, there is no need to bring documents to an educational institution in person – an application can be sent at any time of the day, from anywhere in Russia, with a full account on the mos.ru portal.
“We are already requesting and verifying most of the documents through interdepartmental interaction. And now those documents that could not be verified through electronic document management can be attached in the form of scanned copies to an electronic application. Thus, no documents need to be brought to the school in paper form,” said Rakova.
According to her, it is now also possible to transfer a child from class to class, as well as to another school electronically, by attaching scans of the application and documents. The electronic format will also help if the parent, for example, consents to the psychological and pedagogical support of the student, as well as shooting with further use of photo and video frames on social networks or on the website of the educational institution.
