A man and a sixteen-year-old teenager died on the Northern Dvina near Arkhangelsk, having fallen through the ice on a motorized towing vehicle. This is reported by TASS with reference to the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia for the Arkhangelsk region.

Another man was rescued.

“This afternoon, the emergency services of Arkhangelsk received a message that two motorized towing vehicles fell through the ice on the Northern Dvina River near the village of Turdeevsk, 300 meters from the shore,” the message says. — A grown man was rescued from the freezing water. Unfortunately, the crew of the second motorized dog, a man and a 16-year-old boy, died on the spot. The body of an adult was removed from the water and handed over to the police, a group of divers from the central rescue station was sent to search for the body of a teenager.

Motorized towing vehicles with four people got into the wormwood formed from the wastewater of the Arkhangelsk Pulp and Paper Mill. The thickness of the ice in this place barely reaches 2 cm. At the moment of failure, a 12-year-old girl fell out of the sled onto the ice, who had a charged mobile phone with her. She dialed 112 and reported what had happened.

Rescue units and ambulances were sent to the scene. The girl was taken off the ice and evacuated to the shore.
