A resident of Alushta was detained on charges of murdering his mother and grandmother. According to TASS with reference to the prosecutor’s office of the Republic of Crimea and the Main Investigation Department of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for Crimea, during interrogation he admitted that his relatives planned to send him for psychiatric treatment.
“The Prosecutor’s Office of the Republic of Crimea controls the progress of the investigation of the criminal case initiated on the fact of the murder of two women in the city of Alushta (clause “a” part 2 of article 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). According to the investigation, on March 31, 2023, a man born in 1989, while at his place of residence in an apartment on Krasnoflotskaya Street, strangled his mother, born in 1961, and grandmother, born in 1937, ”the press service of the prosecutor’s office said, specifying that the man was charged, in the near future he will be elected a measure of restraint.
According to the Main Investigation Department of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for Crimea, the colleagues of the murdered woman turned to the police because she did not come to work. “Arrived at the address, officers of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs for Alushta found the suspect at home next to the bodies of murdered relatives. During the interrogation, the detainee explained to the investigator that his mother and grandmother again planned to place him for treatment in a psychiatric institution, which he did not want, ”added the head office.
