Russia has serious and justified doubts about the transparency of the investigations of Sweden, Germany and the Netherlands on Nord Stream. This is reported by TASS with reference to the Permanent Representative of the Russian Federation to the UN Vasily Nebenzya.

According to him, the investigation of the world organization on the incident on gas pipelines has become especially relevant in connection with emerging new data.

Recall that in September 2022, as a result of an explosion, two lines of the first Nord Stream and one of Nord Stream 2 were depressurized. On this fact, a criminal case was initiated in Russia under the article on an act of international terrorism.

The other day it was reported that Denmark would not give permission to the Russian side to participate in the investigation of the explosions. Foreign Minister Lars Løkke Rasmussen stressed that the Danish authorities assured the Russian side of a thorough investigation. When it is done, Denmark will announce the results of the work.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, however, regarded this decision of the Danish authorities as a “fraud” and a “scam”.

Russian President Vladimir Putin, in turn, said that Russia no longer makes sense to examine the strings of gas pipelines. According to him, representatives of Denmark have already reported that it is not explosive there. Putin emphasized that the point for Russia was not to convict anyone, but to avoid other explosions and ensure security.
