Japan strongly protested to the DPRK over the launch of two ballistic missiles in the direction of the Sea of Japan on Monday morning. According to Interfax, this is stated in the statement of the Ministry of Defense of Japan.

The agency clarifies that Japan intends to continue to work closely with the United States and other countries, collect and analyze information.
According to the Japanese Ministry of Defense, two North Korean ballistic missiles were launched around 07:47 and 07:57 (01:47 and 01:57 Moscow time) from the western coast of the DPRK in the direction of the northeast. Both missiles were estimated to have a range of about 350 km and an altitude of about 50 km.
It is believed that in this way the DPRK expresses its protest against the military exercises of South Korea and the United States Ssangyong, which began last week.
