The St. Petersburg regional monument “Water Tower”, which is part of the ensemble “Lopukhina’s Estate” in Osinovaya Roshcha, built in the late 19th – early 20th century, will be privatized. This decision was made by the Property Relations Committee of St. Petersburg.

According to Delovoy Peterburg, the object will be sold at auction along with a land plot of 101 sq. m. The initial price of the auction has not yet been determined.

According to the materials of the courts, the owner of the estate building and the land plot with a park of 5.8 hectares is Revita-Invest LLC. According to Kontur.Focus, the sole founder of the company is businesswoman Anna Prokhorova. She, in particular, has a joint business with restaurateur Daniel Viner. The company lost several court cases to KGIOP, which demanded that it restore its monuments (the building of the estate was badly damaged by a fire in 1991). It was reported that the former estate would be converted into a hotel.

“This kind of towers can have a very diverse fate – a museum, a kindergarten, a restaurant, offices, even housing,” says Olga Sharygina, vice president of Becar Asset Management. In her opinion, the city can ask for an object in the amount of 20-80 million rubles, and the buyer must be a creative and “a little crazy” investor.
