In the Saratov region, a football goal fell on a nine-year-old girl

A football goal fell on a nine-year-old girl in the Engels district of the Saratov region, the victim fell into a coma. This is reported by TASS with reference to the Telegram channel of the Minister of Health of the region Oleg Kostin.

“In the village of Titorenko, on a sports ground, a football goal fell on a child. Nine years, traumatic brain injury, brain contusion, coma,” wrote Kostin.

The child was taken to the Saratov Regional Children’s Clinical Hospital.

The press service of the regional investigative department of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation reported that investigators opened a criminal case on the fact of injuring the girl.

“The Investigation Department for the city of Engels of the Investigation Department for the Saratov Region initiated criminal cases on the fact that a minor was injured on a playground on the grounds of crimes under paragraph “c” of Part 2 of Art. 238 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (“Provision of services that do not meet the requirements of the safety of life or health of consumers, which negligently entailed the infliction of serious harm to human health”) and Part 2 of Art. 293 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (“Negligence, negligently entailing the infliction of grievous harm to human health”),” the ministry said in a statement.

Now the investigators have examined the scene, they are interrogating eyewitnesses and conducting investigative and procedural actions, the department noted.
