American businessman, founder and CEO of Tesla and SpaceX, Elon Musk, made 171 flights in a private jet in 2022, overtaking other billionaires in this indicator, Bloomberg calculated.
The second line of this “rating” is occupied by businessman Mark Zuckerberg with 115 flights per year. Third are Google founders Larry Page and Sergey Brin (85 flights), then Oracle co-founder Larry Ellison (82 flights).
The headquarters of the five companies that Musk manages or owns — Tesla, SpaceX, Twitter, The Boring Company and Neuralink — are “scattered from Texas to California” (that is, almost throughout the United States). From the flight data analyzed by the agency, it follows that Musk’s flights were often made from one headquarters to another. At the same time, the shortest flight lasted 13 minutes and was made at a distance of less than 10 km – from Hawthorne, where the headquarters of SpaceX is located, to Los Angeles International Airport.
In total, the billionaire flew over 600 thousand km last year.
At the time of publication of the material, Musk is ranked second in the list of the richest people in the world according to Bloomberg and Forbes.
