An earthquake of magnitude 5.2 has been registered in eastern Turkey, according to the European-Mediterranean Seismological Center.

Tremors occurred at a distance of 133 km northwest of Sanliurfa and 11 km south of the city of Malatya. The depth of occurrence of the source was 5 km.

Turkey’s Disaster and Emergency Management Authority reported an earthquake in Malatya Province, with a magnitude of 5.6. The head of the organization, Yunus Sezer, said on his social media page that the management teams were “on alert” after the earthquake was registered.
