The program “Naked Attraction”, known in Poland as “Magia Nagości”, has been part of the Channel 4 schedule since 2017. An open approach to showing naked bodies was the foundation of the program from the very beginning – participants assessed individual elements and, based on individual preferences, decided to arrange a date with one of the candidates. The face of the person whose body appealed to the hero of the episode the most was revealed only when the final choice was made. Revealing individual parts took place from the feet, and the greatest emotions both among the audience and participants were aroused by the disclosure of the genitals of individual people. Although the program was promoted as promoting body positivity and normalizing anatomical differences, and the creators vehemently denied any sexual connection, some scenes turned out to be too drastic.
He saw a naked woman for the first time
24-year-old Brian Chau Rodriguez, who took part in an unusual dating show in 2020, was more than surprised to see naked candidates. As it turned out, for the first time in his life he saw female genitalia. When the private parts of one of the women were exposed, the man felt nauseous, almost lost consciousness and asked for a short break. This was due to the fact that he is a virgin and has consciously avoided nudity for years, which he already pointed out in an interview with Anna Richardson. He developed this issue in an interview with the hosts of the Curious Cast podcast.

I deliberately avoided seeing female genitalia and it was because of my personal experience that it made someone feel uncomfortable. I’d rather not go back to what happened – but something happened, a little incident that made me feel very anxious and very cautious.
Rodriguez explained. – I avoided any situation where I might see a naked woman, so that’s partly why I needed a break to take it all in. I just had to combine these experiences with the fact that it was my first time seeing female genitalia,” he said of his violent reaction. In an interview, he was asked why he decided to take part in a show where nudity is the basis. He acknowledged that he wanted it to be a “completely ‘blind’ experience shared with the viewers” and also confessed that it was an act of desperation because he had “not had any luck” in love before. In an interview with The Daily Star in 2022, the participant admitted that since participating in “Magic of Nudes” his approach has changed, but not his love life.
Nothing has changed, I’m still a virgin, but that’s absolutely fine. I’m no longer nervous and quite relaxed about love. I just want to wait and see what happens now. I’m sure it will happen to the person I think is right.
– he said. Although in the show he finally decided to choose one of the girls, on one date – even though he was already “dressed” – it ended.
“Magia Nagości” had its own versions in nine European countries, including Poland, and it aroused controversy in each of them. In our country, it was decided to cancel the show and it will not return to the Zoom TV schedule this spring.
