Riobamba celebrates 201 years of independence today with a diverse agenda of events

Riobamba, the Sultana of the Andes, today commemorates its 201 years of political emancipation. As part of the celebration, the remodeled León Theater will reopen, a work that had a cost of $ 6 million, reported the Municipality.

On Saturday the first National Motorcycle Convention called La Ruta de los Taitas will take place, also as part of the celebration of the 201 years of independence of the Sultana de Los Andes.

“More than 500 motorcycle lovers, from various parts of the country, will gather in one place: the city’s airport,” said Renato Cevallos, president of the Taitas Rider Club of Riobamba, organizer of this meeting.

“National and foreign tourists, from 09:00 to 15:00, will be able to enjoy the exhibition of motorcycles of all kinds, stands with the best brands, workshops, sale of handicrafts and items for motorcycles, as well as artists and events that have been prepared ”, he added.

“You can not miss the gastronomic area, with the best typical dishes of Riobamba to delight the palate”, assured chef Pablo Yaulema, of the organizing committee of this convention.
