Most often, oncological diseases develop in people 45-50 years old. Such data was provided by an oncologist, deputy director of the Institute of Oncology of the European Medical Center Pavel Koposov, Rossiyskaya Gazeta writes.

“The fact is that with age, our body wears out. In addition, by this point, the average patient usually has chronic diseases, ”says the doctor.

Hepatitis B and C contribute to the development of liver cancer, and the human papillomavirus provokes the development of cervical cancer in women. In addition, factors negatively affect: smoking, insolation, malnutrition. For example, excessive consumption of processed red meat can contribute to the development of cancer of the stomach, pancreas, and bile ducts.

These long-term factors begin to “play” against patients when a person approaches the threshold of biological aging. The older a person is, the higher their risk of developing cancer. It is impossible to exclude the appearance of cancer in young people. Cancers can also appear at a young age due to genetic factors. Usually these are hereditary mutations in genes.
