In the Altai Territory, the death of a seven-year-old boy in the Volchikhinsky hospital is being investigated, the regional Investigative Committee of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation reports.
According to the department, a case has been opened on causing death by negligence and improper performance of professional duties. According to the investigation, on the night of January 28, 2023, while providing medical assistance to a 7-year-old boy in the Volchikhinsky Central District Hospital, the child stopped breathing.
According to preliminary data from SUSK, the cause of death was a viral infection.
Investigators are taking the necessary measures, a number of forensic examinations have been appointed, which will make it possible to establish the exact cause of the child’s death. Medical records have been seized and are being examined.
At the same time, local residents write in social networks that they have accumulated a lot of complaints about the work of the hospital: people report that the institution lacks specialists, according to them, on the day of the boy’s death, only a nurse was allegedly on duty, who could not help the child in any way, RIA Novosti reports.
