Earthquake of magnitude 4.1 was felt this Saturday the 14th in the cantons of Santa Elena and Guayas

An earthquake of magnitude 4.1 was recorded at 05:18 this Saturday, January 14. The Geophysical Institute indicated that the movement was 21.23 km from Santa Elena.

This movement had a depth of 24.24 km and was felt slightly in some locations in that western province of Ecuador.

Five earthquakes registered this Tuesday the 3rd disturbed the residents of Cotacachi and Ibarr

According to the National Risk Service, the earthquake was also felt slightly in Guayaquil, Samborondón and Daule, in Guayas.

Relief agencies did not report damage to structures as a result of this earthquake.

The Inocar indicated that the characteristics of the earthquake did not meet the necessary conditions to generate a tsunami on the Ecuadorian coasts and in the Insular region.
