Two young foreigners are processed this Wednesday afternoon after the armed attack registered during the early morning at the Omni Hospital, in the north of Guayaquil.

The subjects were part of the custody of Carlos Omar K., a 35-year-old citizen who has a criminal record and who was attacked with rifles while driving in an armored car through Kennedy, last Friday.

He was in that health home and was the target of hit men who tried to kill him this morning.

The guards of this man confronted the hitmen and one of them was killed in the elevator. Initially it was thought that the murdered was part of the custody of the man who was in asylum.

Colonel Fabary Montalvo, chief (e) of Zone 8, stated that the Silver Code was activated after two police officers noticed the attack when it began, in the Emergency zone.

He explained that the antisocials managed to enter the interior of the hospital despite the security, and that there they were received with shots by the guards of Carlos Omar K., for which one died in the clinic elevator.

Montalvo noted that police personnel immediately took control and managed to arrest the two men who were the security of that patient. Three firearms were also seized there.

He noted that as the National Police they did not have any court order to enter the interior despite the fact that in the Judicial Function it is stated that Carlos Omar K. has six processes, since there is no current complaint.

“The man was only injured from a previous event. There is no type of complaint against him for permanent custody; therefore, there were no police personnel inside the hospital,” explained Montalvo.

It was added that the two defendants entered clandestinely, that is, as relatives or as people who come to visit the hospital to provide safety to the patient who suffered the attack.

The two detainees, one of Colombian nationality and one of Venezuela, were presented at the Cuartel Modelo, in the north, and awaited the flagrante delicto hearing.

In addition to these detainees and the weapons, there is also evidence of an incinerated vehicle in the Lomas de Florida sector that they would have used to commit these crimes. This vehicle was stolen last night, indicated the Police and owners of the vehicle. (YO)
