Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman they have developed a communication on video and through video in which they have given voice to what may well be the most popular characters of their careers: Deadpool and Wolverinerespectively.
First they starred in a video together on a film set, in which they announced that they would collaborate. Jackman then appeared to suggest that the movie they’re working on, the third Deadpool installment, will be titled Wolverine and Deadpool.
In passing, he commented that although he had liked the Christmas musical movie Spirited (2022), in which Reynolds participates, it seems to him that being nominated for an Academy Award is crossing the line.
“Ryan Reynolds, earning an Oscar nomination (for the best song, for good afternoon), It would make the next year of my life unbearable.”
He added that plans to spend 2023 in the company of Reynolds, filming a project he called wolverine and deadpool. “Trust me, it would be a problem. From the bottom of my heart, please don’t validate it like this.”
In the meantime, Reynolds, who is in training to play the Marvel Comics character, a mentally unstable mercenary who went through the same series of experiments as Wolverine, perhaps with more sequels, has explained that he, too, has to spend extra time in Jackman’s company. Well, part of his preparation has been to see his work in the 2017 film Logan.
At Jackman’s proposal, Reynolds made his own video and invoked his character to set the record straight.
In less than a minute, Reynolds praised Jackman’s performance in the 2022 film The Son, and congratulated him on his nomination for best actor at the Golden Globes. “Zero sarcasm, no winks,” he said. “He’s one of the best of his entire career.”
He then left the camera in the dark to take on the voice of his masked character.
“Wolverine and Deadpool…who is he kidding? Never in your life, little friend.”
Jackman responded immediately. “When Reynolds goes up, I go higher.”
The relationship of friendship and rivalry between the actors is beneficial to promote the film, which does not yet have official advertising content. Fans are looking forward to seeing that level of interaction brought to the big screen.
In a 2022 interview with ForbesJackman explained what he thinks is the secret behind the success of the Marvel Cinematic Universe: hearing the audience.
“I think audiences really appreciate having some authority over stories that are being told and why it’s being told. I can say that Deadpool 1 It would never have been made if it wasn’t for the demand on social mediaand it is legitimate that the film received a green light”, he commented.
Reynolds added: “The real boss is the people at home.” (AND)
