The National Police apprehended five subjects accused of the crime of cattle rustling, at dawn on Thursday the 4th in the Pedernales canton, Manabí province. In addition, the uniformed officers seized 17 stolen livestock.
At dawn on Thursday the 4th, agents of the Judicial Police were alerted to the theft of 17 head of cattle from a farm in the Pajales sector. Immediately and in coordination with the Public Prosecutor’s Office, the uniformed officers arrived at two farms in the Guardaraya Cheve Arriba sector, where they raided the properties, and located five people and indications that were binding on the crime.
The five subjects were arrested and identified as Juan Emilio VQ, 32 years old; Luis Miguel ZM, 29; Luis Antonio ML, 24 years old; Edison Fabián FB, 30 years old and César Noé GO, 37 years old, all of Ecuadorian nationality and without previous arrests.
In the operation, the agents seized 17 recovered livestock (cows), a truck-type vehicle, a black motorcycle with an illegible chassis and engine in the alphanumeric series, five mobile terminals and cash.
The detainees were placed under the orders of the competent authorities. (I)
