With this space, users will be able to buy or sell cattle without the presence of intermediaries, indicated union leaders.
The first cattle trading center in the Chibunga parish, in Chone, started operating a few days ago.
Oswaldo Bravo, president of the Asogam Chibunga, indicated that with this space, users will be able to buy or sell livestock without the presence of intermediaries, a fact that “harmed them.”
“The idea is to have a buying and selling fair every week where people can come and negotiate directly. It will be sold at the right price and weight ”, explained Bravo.
Municipality of Manta will assume the delegation process of the Eloy Alfaro airport
For farmers like Román Vélez, one of the advantages of this center is that they will not have the need to move the cattle to El Carmen or Santo Domingo to weigh them, since there is a scale in space.
“This way we save that value, before it was an expense to have to mobilize the cattle just to weigh it, here we have everything at a good price and without major complications. It’s the best they have been able to do to this cattle community, ”Velez said.
The municipalities of Chone, El Carmen and Jama, Asogam Chibunga and the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock participated in the construction of this center. (I)
