Eliminate the road tax, supervise the current administration, a green province and raise guinea pigs promise the candidates for prefects of Pichincha

In the second group of candidates for prefects of Pichincha there was less tension between the six applicants, but the majority promised to eliminate the road improvement tax, supervise the administration of Paola Pabón, improve the roads, a green province and promote the breeding of guinea pigs.

In this second block of aspiring prefects participated: Andrés Castillo Maldonado, from the Social Christian Party; Elsa Guerra Rodríguez, from the Socialist Party; Gonzalo Pérez Sánchez, from the Todos movement; Daniela Zambrano Estupiñán, from Alianza Quito Vuelve; Cecilia Jaramillo Jaramillo, from Popular Unity; and Koya Shugulí Guerra, from the Avanza party.

Second block of candidates for prefects of Pichincha announce an audit of the current provincial administration

The majority of this group promised the voters to annul the ordinance of the Provincial Council of Pichincha that implemented an additional rate for road maintenance, that they will control the use of these resources by the current administration, a restructuring of the prefecture, optimizing the resources and for this, the candidate Andrés Castillo, announced that he will close the Pichincha radio so that there are no more “hitting women” and those who neglect their children’s pensions.

This group of candidates aimed their interventions at questioning the current provincial administration on the issue of roads and the candidate, Cecilia Jaramillo, said that when money is not stolen, it is enough and that she will not be a prefect with a shackle.

A green Pichincha promised other candidates, planting water, protecting the páramos and the Andean Chocó, and that their actions will be focused on not allowing mining in the province.

Gonzalo Pérez, from the Todos movement, his participation was focused on the generation of sources of work and employment, for which he proposed implementing the guinea pig production project for export throughout Pichincha.

Pérez, both at the beginning and at the end of the debate, referred to the raising of guinea pigs as an economic development alternative for those who inhabit Pichincha; “We allow ourselves to offer the public what has been on the table for years, we present the Peruvian guinea pig to be produced by an army of people, at this moment, it is a successful project that is underway and we can export it.”

Even when answering the last question asked by the moderator, Gisella Bayona, about what is the cultural expression of the province of Pichincha that most represents it and how would she link it as a model of her administration, she said: the guinea pigs. (YO)
