If Serbia and Kosovo fail to reach an agreement during the talks in Brussels, “hell on earth” could begin. This statement was made by Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić on TV Prva.

According to him, the special Kosovo police “have nothing to look for” in the north of Kosovo. “The Serbs will guard their homes,” Vučić added. Asked if this means that hostilities could break out, the Serbian leader expressed hope that “this will not happen, but it is no longer up to us.”

Tomorrow, we recall, negotiations between Belgrade and Pristina at the highest level will begin in Brussels. The main topic of the meeting will be the fines that the Kosovo authorities want to take for using Serbian license plates when entering the republic.

In 2008, Kosovo declared independence. Then the republic was recognized by 92 UN member states, including the United States and most of the EU countries. True, then 16 of them withdrew their recognition.

Serbia, meanwhile, does not recognize the independence of Kosovo and considers it part of its territory. Russia also did not recognize the independence of the republic.
