Chelsea boss reveals Pulisic injury more serious than expected

This Wednesday, the coach of the chelsea, Graham Potter, has stated that Christian Pulisic’s knee injury is more serious than initially projected. According to the commander, the North American player can stay at least two months out.

“Pulisic will have to stop for a few months. We hope that Raheem Sterling’s injury is less serious”, explained the coach in a press conference.

In the defeat against Manchester City, by 4 to 0, for the FA Cup, the striker was only 22 minutes on the field, before suffering a challenge from defender John Stones.

This season, Chelsea have been suffering from injuries, especially in the offensive sector. Currently, in addition to Pulisic, Mason Mount, Raheem Sterling, N’Golo Kanté, Ben Chiwell, Ruben Loftus Cheek, Edouard Mendy, Armando Broja, Wesley Fofana and Reece James are in the medical department.

To make up for the absence in the attack, the Londoners disbursed 11 million euros (R$ 62 million at current prices) to have João Félix, on loan, until the end of this season.

In the next match, Chelsea face Fulham, this Thursday. The game will take place at 5 pm (Brasília time), at Craven Cottage. At this moment, Graham Potter’s men are in tenth position, far from the qualification zone for the next Champions League.
