A shipment of 255 kilos of cocaine was seized by the Ecuadorian National Police when it was being transported by road in a truck, according to what the State security force reported on Thursday.
The drug was hidden in a false bottom of the truck and packaged in 221 rectangular blocks that bore the distinctive “488” as a brand of the drug trafficking organization to which they belong.
The seizure was made when the truck was traveling through the Amazonian province of Pastaza, located in the southeast of the country.
