The ECU-911 system confirmed that last Monday, November 1, at 11:43 a.m., they received an alert for theft in the tourist area. Precisely in the images that were disseminated, it is observed that the event took place in about ten minutes near Luzarraga street.
Through a statement, the Malecón 2000 Foundation, which manages the space, confirmed that on Monday there was an assault on personnel who were transporting the collection of values that corresponded to parking lots. However, no details were given of how many antisocials intervened or the amount stolen.
He pointed out that the incident did not leave victims and that the complaint was filed together with the provision of videos to authorities for the respective investigations, “hoping to have results that allow the arrests and sanctions by law.”
