At least three people were killed and 21 others wounded in an explosion at a Moscow cafe on Saturday evening.
According to authorities, a woman carrying a homemade explosive device was turned away at the entrance to the restaurant shortly before the blast. The explosion occurred moments after she was refused entry.
An independent Russian media outlet reported that air force chief Alexander Tchaiko had been celebrating his birthday at the establishment at the time of the explosion.
