The Miss Universo Ecuador 2026 preliminary gala began at 7:23 p.m. on Thursday, August 6, at Quinta San Martin in Ambato. The evening event opened with a dance performance and marks the start of the final stage of the national pageant.
A judging panel is evaluating contestants across opening, cocktail, and swimsuit rounds. Scores from these three appearances will determine the 15 semifinalists who will be announced at the final gala.
More than 600 attendees filled the sold-out venue in Ambato, while viewers can watch live on the CNB Ecuador YouTube channel. Edison Guerrero, Gabriela Rosero, and Diana Velasco are hosting the preliminary event, which is scheduled to run until approximately 10:00 p.m.
Gala Performances and Santa Elena Final
The program includes musical performances by Fausto Mino and Miss Universo Ecuador 2025 Nadia Mejia, who will perform her song Soy suficiente for the first time at the pageant. Following this evaluation, organizers will turn their focus to the grand final.
The final ceremony will take place on Saturday, August 15, starting at 7:00 p.m. at Plazoleta Vicente Rocafuerte in Santa Elena canton to choose Ecuador's representative for Miss Universe. The event will stream on Ecuavisa Play, with tickets available through Ticket Show.
