Amazon Prime Video is producing a new Turkish series called Grand Maison Istanbul, with actor Kerem Bursin in the lead role.
According to journalist Birsen Altuntas, Bursin will play Ates Leventoglu, a successful and charismatic head chef. The series will consist of eight episodes and will stream on Amazon Prime Video. The actress who will star opposite Bursin, along with the director, is expected to be announced soon.
The news comes days after Amazon revealed that Ali Atay and Haluk Bilginer will appear together in its production Guneye Giderken.
Based on a Japanese Drama
Grand Maison Istanbul is an adaptation of the 2019 Japanese series La Grande Maison Tokyo. The original follows chef Natsuki Obana, whose career collapses after he serves a dish that causes an allergic reaction in an important customer. Three years later, Obana fights to revive his career and create a three-star restaurant.
