Belgian model and former Peruvian reality television star Greg Michel claimed in a leaked audio recording that he earns 100,000 soles per month running gyms in Peru.
The recording was provided by his ex-girlfriend Maryjane Ramirez to the Peruvian television program Magaly TV: la firme. In the private telephone conversation, Michel boasted about his income while attempting to convince Ramirez to resume their romantic relationship.
The conversation occurred after Michel learned that Ramirez was dating an Italian man serving in the military who earns approximately 2,000 euros a month. In the audio, Michel dismissed the Italian man's earnings, claiming that his own mother sends him 2,000 euros via mobile transfer and that he can easily take home 100,000 soles in a single day in Peru.

Gym business and leaked recording
Michel explained in the recording that his income comes from his sports gym enterprise. He stated that he currently owns two gym locations and recently spent 200,000 soles to open a third branch, boasting that he lives like a king.
In Peru, 100,000 Peruvian soles represents a substantial sum, equivalent to tens of thousands of US dollars. Yape, the mobile payment application mentioned by Michel, is a popular digital transfer service in Peru operated by Banco de Credito del Peru that allows instant money transfers between users.
During the recorded phone call, Ramirez explicitly rejected Michel's attempts to reconcile. She stated that he adds nothing positive to her life, citing previous public scandals and past allegations of physical assault against him.

Reality television background and past incidents
Greg Michel first rose to public prominence in Peru as a participant on popular reality television competition shows, including Combate and Esto es Guerra. Both programs feature contestants, commonly referred to in Peruvian entertainment media as chicos reality, who compete in physical challenges and daily athletic games.
Magaly TV: la firme is a prominent daily entertainment and celebrity news show broadcast on the ATV network in Peru. Hosted by veteran entertainment journalist Magaly Medina, the program frequently airs investigative reports, leaked recordings, and updates on Peruvian media personalities.
Following his success on reality television, Michel shifted his focus toward professional modeling and business ventures in the fitness industry. In 2021, he suffered a severe accident at one of his gyms located in Tarapoto, a city in northeastern Peru. A falling mirror struck him, causing severe injuries that left him in a coma for several days before he recovered.
Public scandals and police detention
In addition to his television career and business activities, Michel has frequently made headlines in Peru due to public altercations and legal troubles. He was previously detained and taken to a police station after allegedly assaulting police officers during an incident on a public street.
Ramirez has also previously filed formal complaints against Michel alleging physical and psychological abuse during their relationship. Despite past reconciliations between the pair, her latest statements on Magaly TV: la firme indicate a refusal to restart their relationship following the leaked phone call.
