Organizers dedicated this year's event to the Ministry of Sports and Recreation under the management of Minister Kelvin Cruz. The fair aimed to promote business encounters, generate potential clients, and foster commercial agreements under a slogan declaring La Vega the sports and commercial heart of the country.
Odil Morilla, president of the La Vega Chamber of Commerce and Production, thanked participating businesses, sponsors, and visitors for their support. She said reaching 30 years with an event of this level demonstrates the trust of companies and all participants.
Organizers reported that the sectors with the highest commercial movement during the fair were mass consumption, real estate, banking, livestock, and automotive. Businesswoman Icelsa Garcia, chief executive officer of Heriberto Holding Group, served as president of the fair for this edition.
Sports and Cultural Activities
The event program featured sports tournaments in padel, basketball, chess, volleyball, judo, and dominoes. Participants also ran in the 5K Glow Runner race, which raised funds for the Dios Me Hizo Bella Foundation, an organization that works with breast cancer survivors.
Cultural offerings included a musical performance by the Youth Orchestra of Colegio Eugenio Maria de Hostos. Additionally, communicator Pamela Sued, Juan Roberto Musa, and psychologist Melissa Pol led a cycle of educational talks.
Government Attendance and Local Priorities
Vice President Raquel Peña attended the inauguration of Expo Vega Real 2026. During the opening ceremony, Morilla requested that government authorities hold a Council of Government in La Vega to address the priorities of the province.
