A concert that the band BTS offered in Seoul and that was broadcast in theaters in the United States grossed 6.8 million dollars in a single day, placing it among the highest grossing films of the weekend.
Some 800 US theaters screened the concert “BTS Permission to Dance on Stage: Seoul” last Saturday, with tickets that reached 35 dollars and that added an average of 8,500 dollars of income for each session.

According to estimates from the specialized portal Box Office Mojo, the broadcast of the concert in other countries made it possible for the South Korean band to raise 36.2 million dollars worldwide.
In the US, that show ranked as the third choice of the public in theaters, only behind “The Batman” and “Uncharted”.
“The Batman” grossed $66 million in its second weekend in theaters.
A week earlier, the film opened with a gross of $134 million in the United States, becoming the second-highest-grossing film since the start of the pandemic, after “Spider-Man: No Way Home.”

This new version starring Robert Pattinson surpassed all previous films of the DC superhero, except for “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” (2016), which reached 166 million grosses.
In second place was “Uncharted”, the film starring Tom Holland, Mark Wahlberg and Antonio Banderas, which entered 9.3 million and took a small advantage over the BTS concert.
