This is the video for ‘SloMo’
The visual proposal of ‘SloMo’ in its video clip contrasts with the explosiveness of the song when Chanel performs it on stage. The piece, directed by Pawla Casanovas, characterized by sobriety in every sense.
The chosen locations do not evoke any specific place. A big screen with led lights and an alley with a staircase have been the places chosen for Chanel Terrero to perform the choreography that the audience has already seen on the Benidorm Fest stage.
The artist appears accompanied by male dancers and, at times, female dancers while she performs her song and the three interior sets are interspersed. The austere nature of the bet is also transferred to the direction of photographywhich advocates the alternation between the foreground and the long shot.
The LED screen arranged in one of the locations is also used to generate contrasts and, in the other scenarios, a light scheme that imitates a storm is used. It even resorts to artificial rain to create a kind of dramatic silence which substitutes dancebreak for the original performance.
As far as the wardrobe is concerned, Chanel looks dark and discreet colored clothes. However, she does opt for fabrics such as latex to enhance her figure and enhance the subtle psychotic component inherent to ‘SloMo’.
