How do I get rid of dried-on stains on clothes? These home remedies for pennies will save every fabric

Sometimes it only takes a moment of inattention for our favorite clothes to become stained. We don’t always have the option to get rid of it right away. Dried stains, although more difficult, are removable. We tell you a few for different types of dirt. Remember, however, that they only apply to dried stains, not fresh ones.

How do I get blood stains out? There are two ways to choose from

The first rule of thumb when testing a blood is to avoid warm water as it will fix the staining. Before throwing clothes into the washing machine, we recommend trying:

  • hydrogen peroxide – you can sprinkle the stain with hydrogen peroxide and wait a while, then rinse it with cold water or sprinkle the stain with salt and rinse in a solution prepared with 1 liter of water and 200 ml of hydrogen peroxide,
  • lemon juice – gently rub the juice of one lemon into the stain, which has whitening properties.

Paint stains. How can I get rid of them?

Clothes stained with paint are difficult to restore, but there is one. First, we start by gently scraping off the dried paint with a dull knife. Remove the crumbled pieces. Soak the stain with any detergent (powder or washing liquid) mixed with water in the ratio 1: 1, avoiding the clean fibers of the fabric. With a clean sponge, gently rub the stain so that the paint begins to dissolve. Then the clothes are immediately thrown into the washing machine and set to the program in accordance with the manufacturer’s recommendations.

In the case of hair dye stains, another specific agent is used for them, namely varnish. Spray the stain generously with hairspray and then wash it at low temperature.

Dried fruit stains can be just as difficult to remove

Almost everyone loves seasonal fruits, such as raspberries, cherries and forest fruits, but much less stains that they can cause. Unlike blood stains, warm water is recommended when trying to remove them. There are several dried fruit stains:

  • vinegar – just pour it directly on the stain or soak a sponge with it and wipe, and then wash the clothes,
  • warm milk – a great alternative for people who do not like the smell of vinegar. Soak the stained clothes in milk for several hours (or even overnight), and then throw them into the washing machine,
  • citric acid – pour the stain with citric acid, sprinkle with baking soda and rub. Repeat the procedure several times and then wash the clothes in the washing machine.
