The protagonists of “Oszusta z Tinder” have an idea how to pay off debts

Shimon Hayut on Tinder pretended to be Simon Leviev, son of Israeli businessman Lev Leviev. Using a dating application, he searched for more victims who were misleading and convinced that he was a millionaire, creating credible productions: he took them to five-star hotels, funded flights on private jets, and made dinners in the most expensive restaurants. He surrounded himself with a group of associates who named themselves, inter alia, for his business partner, mother of his child or bodyguard (Peter K. turned out to be a Pole and is suing Netlix for unlawful use of his image in the document) and confirmed his version of events. Meanwhile, all these luxury attractions were financed with money that Hayut extorted from other women. The fraudster has organized a kind of a financial pyramid for himself. First, he made women fall in love with himself methodically, and then he persuaded them to give him cash and credit cards.

He convinced the victims that his life was in danger, and that their money was to ensure his safety. When women lost their creditworthiness or knew what was going on, he blocked them on social media and intimidated them. It is estimated that he extorted $ 10 million in total. He was brought to trial for fraud. Ultimately, however, in an Israeli prison in 2019, he only served five months out of the 15 he was sentenced to.

Three of his victims and reporters from the Norwegian newspaper “VG” who contributed to the prosecution of Hayut starred in a film directed by Felicity Morris. Cecilie Fjellhoy, Pernilla Sjoholm and Ayleen Charlotte told the camera how their relationship with the fraud was developing, what mechanisms he used and how he convinced them that they were his dream partners or friends. Together they are indebted to 600,000 pounds, which at the current wlut exchange rates translates to $ 813,090 (PLN 3 196 455). The women pay off their debts, but after the premiere of the documentary, they decided to ask for help.

The protagonists of the documentary film “The Tinder Cheater” founded on the website “For several days we have been absolutely shocked and struck by how much support and compassion we receive from you. This pure love is more than we could ever expect, we are very grateful to all of you. We have decided to set up this fundraiser, very carefully and with many conversations. Lots of bogus donations which makes us very disturbed We do not want anyone else to get fooled We know there are thousands of other donation worth donations We will be invariably grateful if you decide to donate something to ours All we want is is to regain your life “- we read in the description of the action.

As part of the authentication, Cecilie Fjellhoy has included a video where she talks about the case. On February 9, it was known that about 2,500 people took part in the fundraiser, who contributed £ 53,105 in total.

On February 5, Tinder reps handed over to E! News: “We blocked Simon Leviev and all his famous associates on our app back in 2019, when the case was publicized. Leviev is blocked indefinitely, after the premiere of the documentary, we also conducted an international investigation to make sure that he did not create a profile on any of his pseudonyms. We can confirm that we did not find any such account. ” A spokesman representing dating sites such as Match.com, OkCupid and Hinge also told the media that Simon Hayut has been permanently removed from the sites.
