Three years after its presentation, Netflix has revealed a trailer.
The first trailer for the new film from acclaimed director Guillermo del Toro has been revealed. This will be an adaptation of the classic: Pinocchio. The film will be a stop-motion animated musical, centered on the adventures and mischief of Pinocchio on his journey to become a flesh and blood boy.
The project was announced three years ago by Netflix, but it has not been until now that a trailer is finally presented.
Synopsis
“Academy Award®-winning filmmaker Guillermo del Toro reimagines Carlo Collodi’s classic tale of the wooden puppet that magically comes to life to mend the heart of a grieving woodcarver named Geppetto. This fantastic stop motion animated musical directed by Guillermo del Toro and Mark Gustafson follows the adventures and mischief of Pinocchio as he seeks to find his place in the world.”
Gregory Mann will be the one who lends his voice to Pinocchio in the original version of the film, the rest of the cast is made up of: Ewan McGregor What Pepito Grillo, David Bradley, Ron Perlman, Tilda Swinton, Christoph Waltz, Cate Blanchett, Tim Blake Nelson, Finn Wolfhard, Burn Gorman y John Turturro.
The film will premiere on December 22 on Netflix. (AND)
