“Don’t look up” is a global hit of Netflix, but in Poland No. 1 is different

“Don’t Look Up” is a film with a true star cast. Jennifer Lawrence plays astronomy student Kate Dibiasky, who, along with Dr. Randallem Mindy (Leonardo DiCaprio) discovers that a comet is rushing through the Solar System. The problem is that it is on a collision course with Earth and will lead to destruction in a little more than six months. As if that were not enough, no one cares about the comet – led by the president of the United States (Meryl Streep).

However, the most popular position in the Polish top 10 of Netflix is ​​another title. This is the eight-episode miniseries “Stay With Me,” based on the Harlan Coben novel. It stars Cush Jumbo, James Nesbitt, Richard Armitage and Sarah Parish.

What is “Stay with me” about? “A thrill, a suspenseful story and secrets of past crimes that are just beginning to emerge” – we read in the official description. “Stay With Me” tries to answer the question of how well you can know the other person. Each of the four main characters – Megan (Jumbo), a working mother of three, Ray (Armitage), a once-promising photojournalist, Broome (Nesbitt) a detective who unable to forget the unsolved disappearance case many years ago, and Lorraine (Parish), Megan’s former friend – hides dark secrets from her loved ones. The past returns to haunt them, threatening to ruin the lives not only of themselves but also of those close to them What will their next move be? “

This is another production that was created as a result of the contract that Netflix signed with Harlan Coben, one of the most popular thriller authors. As part of this cooperation, the Polish “In depths of the forest” and the Spanish “Innocent” had their premieres.
