“We all die, pass it on to others”

Recently, an activist published a post on her Instagram profile in which she writes about the dramatic situation of refugees.

Dozens of dead, thousands of traumatized people – ranging from refugees to the inhabitants of these areas, activists, the army

Alboth writes. The activist also cites messages she received from people at the border.

Anna, it’s -12 degrees Celsius. We all die, pass it on to others

one of the refugees appeals.

Anna, I’m worried about you, stop helping the jihadists

one of the soldiers writes.

Alboth emphasizes that despite the Christmas traditions, we are often far from true solidarity with other people. – We make decisions through the prism of our sense of security. They are fed with anti-immigration narratives. We are fully involved in this and let people die. How is it possible that it happened so quickly? And what must happen again? – the activist wonders.

Anna Alboth: Is two thousand people a lot?

Anna Alboth recently gave an interview to our website Podróże.gazeta.pl. In it, she talked about the possible solutions to the dramatic situation on the Polish-Belarusian border.

In the case of the situation on the Polish-Belarusian border, there are two issues. The first is to stop Lukashenka from bringing more refugees. The Polish government should reach an agreement on this matter with the European Union, which would additionally impose sanctions on Belarus, but unfortunately our government does not want to undertake similar talks, because we seem to be doing very well. The second issue concerns refugees. Now there are a thousand, a maximum of two thousand people in the forests that Poland could accept. These are not numbers that cannot be processed. Germany accepted a million refugees in 2015.

Is two thousand people a lot? Someone recently compared that at the national stadium there is 50,000. people, including four thousand seats for VIPs. Let’s see, those people who are freezing in Polish forests now, wouldn’t even fill these VIP seats.
