They delight with their appearance like a real gift of nature. For many, a valuable find from the forest, which is kept in the collection or intended for sale. It’s about Antrapets, dropped in February and March by animals from the deer family (deer, elks, fallow deer), after the end of the mating season.
Is harvesting legal? In pursuit of finds, the rules should be followed
Deer antlers have a representative function. It is used to lure females and is used in combat. However, you must not scare or follow animals while searching. The violation of the regulations is threatened with a fine of up to PLN 500, and in the case of a court case a fine of up to PLN 5,000 may be imposed.
– Dumps, i.e. these fallowous elements of antlers, can be taken home after finding and you don’t have to explain to anyone. It is not allowed to use the prohibited techniques of this collection, because, for example, some are scoring animals, we reprimand fence nets. […] The exception to this are the finds that are somewhat attached to the skull. If the animal fell in a natural way and this antlers are including the skull, then such a fact should be notified either the forest inspectorate or the leaseholder of the hunting district, i.e. hunters. Together with the skull, you must not collect – said Artur Soszyński, senior specialist in the forest service in the Chotyłów Forest District, quoted by radio.lublin.pl

Collection of antlers is gaining popularity. There are crown and unique shapes. Most often in purchase prices per kilo is PLN 50-150, while in the case of heavy, larger and well you can get up to PLN 200-300 per kilo. Their gathering in allowed places will therefore be a good way to ensure additional earnings. This can be done legally in the area managed by the State Forests. It is forbidden to take antlers from reserves, national parks and the sting of animals.
Unfortunately, some people in pursuit of valuable finds behave irresponsibly and lose their common sense.
