He set up a collection for a film about the “hostile takeover of TVP”. It didn’t go according to plan. When is the premiere?

In April 2024, Marcin Tulicki declared the creation of a documentary about the “illegal takeover of TVP” by the new government. He even started a fundraiser, but his goal was initially supported by only one person. Despite this, he did not give up on the idea and completed the production. When is the premiere? A clear declaration was made.

After the change of power in Poland at the end of 2023, he lost his position as head of “Wiadomości” on Polish Television and deputy director. Although his dismissal was a disciplinary matter, he did not resign from his positions without a fight. Ultimately, he decided to transfer what was happening behind the scenes both on Woronicza and in the building on Plac Powstańców Warszawy to the screen and reveal materials previously unknown to the public.

A film about Tulicki’s “hostile takeover of TVP”. Only one person contributed money to the fundraiser

In April 2024, Tulicki launched an online fundraiser to make a documentary about a “hostile takeover,” in which he would explain in detail why the new management took over the station so easily. The goal was PLN 100,000, but the campaign was initially supported by only… one person. Despite this, he had no intention of giving up on the idea, and that same month he published the first trailer for the production online, which he gave the telling title “TAKEOVER.”

This is a film that should be made because what is happening should never be forgotten.

– he announced on his official profile on the X portal. This encouraged another 112 people to donate, but in total they managed to collect just over PLN 9,000. – I am not judging the fundraiser. I would like to thank everyone for their donations – he commented on this fact in an interview with Wirtualne Media and added that he did not feel disappointed about it.

Tulicki announces the premiere of “THE TAKEOVER”. Who financed the film?

After the failed fundraising campaign, the film went completely quiet. Many thought that Tulicki had finally given up on the idea, but that was not the case. Now, the former deputy director of TAI has announced that work on the documentary is still underway, and its premiere will probably take place as early as September 2024. “The film about the illegal takeover of the media, prosecutor’s office, and state institutions in general, is largely ready,” he announced.

He emphasized that he intends to expose all the “scams” that the new government has committed, in which he is of course supported by Samuel Pereira and , who were also fired. – In a situation where most media are silent about the scale of lawlessness, breaking laws, such a film is very much needed and I am glad that I am able to make it – he said proudly. At the same time, he revealed that he managed to obtain the necessary funds for the production from a source independent of the collection, but he did not want to reveal from which source.
