This autumn, Getxo will be a showcase for Basque theatrical creation
This autumn, the Muxikebarri cultural centre in Getxo will host performances of four co-productions in which it is participating: the dramatised reading of The blind ants (Ados Teatroa), the montage Confines (Pablo Viar), the suspended dance show Mother of Pearl (Maitane Sarralde) and the work Minyan (Artedrama).
On September 21st, you can see in Getxo the adaptation that the actress and director Garbi Losada has made of The blind antsa novel by the Getxo writer Ramiro Pinilla. In addition, on October 4, actors Eguzki Zubia and Txubio Fernández Jauregui will perform the play Confinesby Pablo Viar, “a scientific investigation into identity, scientific progress and the boundaries between reality and fiction.”
On November 23rd it will be the turn of Mother of Pearla suspended dance performance by the dancer and choreographer Maitane Sarralde, which will be followed on December 20 by the play Minyana chronicle of a migration told by Ibrahima Balde and put on paper by Amets Arzallus.
Under the direction of Ander Lipus, the cast includes Sambo Diaby, Eihara Fernández de Larrea, Mikel Kaye and Lipus himself.
Tickets for the shows will go on sale on July 22 through Getxo Kultura’s usual channels.
