“The Bus of Life” hits theaters
The Bus of Life was released in Basque
The bus of lifethe new film by the Biscayan filmmaker Ibon Cormenzana (The top, Joy Sadness), arrives today, July 3, at the cinemas of Hegoalde. The story of a teacher transferred to a town who dreams of getting on stage, stars Dani Rovira (Eight Basque surnames…) and Susana Abaitua from Vitoria.
Rovira and Abaitua were accompanied during the filming, which took place in Orduña, by Elena Irureta, Antonio Durán “Morris”, Nagore Aranburu, Amancay Gaztañaga and Andrés Gertrúdix, as well as newcomers Pablo Scapigliati, Julen Castillo and Miriam Rubio, and they had the special collaboration of Roberto Álamo and Iria del Río.
The film is based on a script by Ibon Cormenzana (also producer of Robot Dreams, The beasts, There will not be peace for the evil ones, Snow White and the own The bus of life) and Eduard Solà (also a writer of Black Is Beltza, House in flames…) and, in the musical section, very present in the film, it has original songs by Manuela Vellés as well as songs by artists such as Ibil Bedi, La MODA, Kase O, Los Chikos del Maíz and Fito y Fitipaldis.

In The bus of life“a feel good movie Inspired by a true story, Andrés (Dani Rovira) travels to a Basque town to work as a music teacher. There he discovers that he has cancer, and to receive treatment he must travel to the Bilbao hospital in El Bus de la Vida, an old car driven by Mai (Susana Abaitua), which transports all the patients in the area free of charge.
