However, her complete departure from TVP took place in 2021, when Kurdej-Szatan published a vulgar entry criticizing the actions of the Border Guard. This did not please PiS politicians, who caused the actress to quickly lose her role in the popular soap opera. Moreover, she had to answer to court for her emotional entry.
However, after the changes at Telewizja Polska, many former stars of the public broadcaster returned to work. These include: Beata Tadla, Justyna Dobrosz-Oracz and Maciej Orło¶. Barbara Kurdej-Szatan is not among them so far, but the gossip media have been writing about the actress’s alleged return to TVP for some time. A Pudelek reporter decided to ask her about possible cooperation proposals during the “See Bloggers” festival. This is what she heard from her:
I just don’t know. I have nothing to comment on for now because nothing has started yet. However, in this profession, I have reached a point in my life where I approach everything calmly and with a distance. Of course, I am very excited about new projects. When they happen and I have something to talk about, I will talk about them.

The actress did not mention any specific production, but admitted that she liked the “I love you Poland!” format, which she hosted on TVP2 in 2016-2018. She revealed that she would like to see herself in a similar format, but she has a completely different opinion when it comes to returning to “M jak miłość”, where she played the role of Joanna Chodakowska.
I’m not coming back. I have no contact with the production. There’s nothing to talk about, she said firmly.
