Jesse Eisenberg on living in Poland: I’d probably wear a beard and be a farmer

When Hollywood actors visited our country last year to shoot a movie, many of their fans were in great shock. “True Pain” is scheduled to hit theaters soon, and the trailer has just been released online. Jesse Eisenberg openly admitted in one of his interviews that discovering the history of his ancestors was a kind of “existential revelation.” The actor was even so carried away by his imagination that he started talking about what his life in Poland could be like!

On Tuesday, the trailer for Jesse Eisenberg’s latest film, titled “Real pain.” The Hollywood star of Polish origin not only plays one of the main roles in it, but also directed the production and wrote the script for it.

The Hollywood star has Polish roots. He came to the country of his ancestors to make a film. Earlier, he promised something to his 100-year-old aunt

The 40-year-old actor decided to make the film in our country because his ancestors who later emigrated to the United States come from here. – Much of this film is based on the true story of my family. We even shot one of the scenes in the apartment from which my family escaped in 1938 – he said in one of the interviews.

He also talked about how his family’s story inspired him to make the film at the Sundance Film Festival held in January. At the beginning of the recording he says that he used to know little about his grandparents’ country of origin. He goes on to mention a conversation with his 100-year-old aunt, who lived in Poland until she was ten.

If I ever shoot a film in Europe, I will visit your little house where you grew up, he mentioned his promise.

Later, Eisenberg talks about what he felt when he found himself in the place where his family grew up. – And I just had this kind of existential epiphany that oh, this is where I would be if the war hadn’t broken out. You know, I would live here, in this city and find out what my life would be like – he pointed out.

Later in the conversation, he directly admitted that the creation of “True Pain” resulted from his desire to learn about the history of his ancestors. The Hollywood star openly admitted that he and Kieran Culkin, who played the other main role, contemplated what Eisenberg’s life might be like. At one point, the actor even tried an unusual imagination:

We’d have beards and you know, we’d sell our fruit, it’s like that.
