“” aired on Polsat in 1999. The series immediately won the hearts of viewers who watched with sympathy the fate of the Kiepski and Paździoch families. Due to the recent death of Marzena Kipiel-Sztuka, who played the beloved Halinka Kiepska, many actors involved in the production remember their moments together on the set. Andrzej Grabowski, Halinka’s husband in the series, the excellent Ferdynand Kiepski, also tried to remember what happened behind the scenes of the series. The actor was not initially thrilled with the job, he accepted the role of Ferdek because it was an opportunity to earn money, not the role of a lifetime:

This approach also translated into work on the shooting set. Andrzej Grabowski did not like the character and made everyone feel that he was not impressed. It took quite a long time:

I was unbearable to the makeup artists, I was unbearable to the costume designers, and I was unbearable to my friends because I didn’t like it very much. I wanted to get out of it. Guided by the principle that this is my profession, not a hobby, I continued – he said with disarming honesty.

Although the role of Ferdynand Kiepski actually brought Grabowski great popularity, the actor did not allow himself to be pigeonholed into a stereotypical Pole. Regardless of his work in “The World According to the Kiepskich”, he starred in dozens of films and series,
