Friends and fans fulfilled Marzena Kipiel-SZTUKA’s wish
The actress was preparing for death and carefully planned what her funeral would look like. . She didn’t want mourners to lay wreaths at the grave – she asked for colorful flowers. She also encouraged them to dress in bright, optimistic colors, which is a rare situation in Polish funeral tradition. The mourners respected both requests, and after the Thursday funeral, the actress’s grave is literally covered with colorful flowers and… balloons:
The funeral of Marzena Kipiel-Sztuka took place in Legnica in the Cemetery Chapel at ul. Wrocławska last Thursday. Family and numerous friends from the film sets gathered there – including those from “Świat dla Kiepskich”, with whom the actress had played since the beginning of production. She spoke, among others: Renata Pa³ys, TV series Paździochowa:
I’ve known Marzena the longest out of the entire “World According to the Kiepskich” team. I met her here at the theater in Legnica. I was amazed by her skills and technique, because she was a beginner actress. When I met her on the set in 1999, I was very happy, our scenes together were always perfect, there was no need for retakes. We understood each other without words, there was no need to direct us, said Renata Pałys, moved.
The urn with Marzena Kipiel-Sztuka’s ashes was decorated with flowers and a hummingbird. The actress was also accompanied to her resting place by crowds of fans, in whose memory she will forever be remembered as the beloved Halinka Kiepska.
