When Jacek Kurski stopped being president, he joined the World Bank. He did not stay in his position for long and in 2023 he resigned from his position. Now the politician plans to continue his career in the European Parliament. He is running for an MEP from the Law and Justice party in Mazovia.

Anyone who remembers Polish Television from Kurski’s times knows that the politician has a special fondness for disco polo music. The MEP candidate is also aware of the popularity of the genre and the range of its performers. This time, as part of the campaign, Kurski appeared at a picnic in Wyszków, to which he also encouraged local residents on his social media and on Republika Television.
The event took place at the City Square, and on the stage you could see Zenek Martyniuk with the Akcent band and the Bayer Full group. However, the “family picnic” was different from other local attractions, you just had to look at the posters. At the bottom, in small, almost illegible print, it is mentioned that the event is of a promotional nature and its announcement is “election material of the Law and Justice Committee.”

Zenon Martyniuk repeatedly appeared at events organized by TVP during Kurski’s times. The former president of Telewizja Polska never hid his sympathy for the singer, and in Wyszków he not only appeared as a listener, but also sang and danced with disco polo stars on stage. On the X website, the politician profusely thanked the performers for participating in the event. “Because all Poles are one family. In Wyszków, Mazovia, at home and abroad. I would like to thank Sławek Swierzyński and Bayer Full for participating and hosting this unique event,” we read.
The Wirtualna Polska portal decided to ask Zenon Martyniuk about the event that promoted Kurski. The artist’s reaction was unexpected. When the singer heard the name of the former president of TVP, he hung up.
