After eating an avocado, we are left with a seed, which we most often throw into the trash. Meanwhile, it turns out that we can use it in plant care. Just a few simple steps and you can use it as an effective spray that will protect them against pests such as aphids.

Avocado is a delicious and tasty fruit that can be eaten raw, for example by adding it to salads or serving it on sandwiches. It tastes equally delicious as a paste or the popular guacamole. Not everyone knows that its seed also has interesting uses. How to use it in gardening? It’s not about growing your own tree at all.

Home remedies for aphids are not only cheap and effective, but also ecological, so you can use them without fear. If you want to protect against these unpleasant pests, you can use a simple spray based on avocado seed. It is really very easy to prepare. The first step, of course, is to properly prepare the main ingredient. Dry the seed by keeping it in the sun (e.g. on a windowsill) for three days, then grate it on the smallest holes of a grater.

The next step is to boil 1 liter of water and add avocado powder. Mix everything thoroughly, cook for another 2-3 minutes, then cover the vessel and put it in a cool place overnight.. In the morning, simply strain the mixture, dilute it in 5 liters of water and pour it into a sprayer. The product will be ready for use, you can use it even every week. No aphids will hide.

It is not without reason that aphids are considered one of the most troublesome pests. They massively attack ornamental plants, cultivated plants, potted plants, trees, shrubs, and sometimes you can even find them on weeds. Therefore, whenever they appear, you should act decisively. You can also make a home spray with apple or wine vinegar. Pour 100 ml of vinegar into 1 liter of water (never the other way around!), mix, pour into a sprayer and use.
