Despite the promises, nothing has changed in the law on this issue – although on October 15 the political option won, which also promised, for example, civil partnerships, again there are important and more important things that must first be changed in the Sejm, and only then, maybe, one day , never, there will be work on other issues. Piaseczny does not hide his frustration that politicians always have elections ahead of them, and the “rainbow” label is still considered harmful – regardless of the fact that Poles would generally like to see equal rights for hetero and non-heteronormative people.

Research shows that it doesn’t matter who we love, and there is very much interest in civil partnerships and this form of legalizing being next to each other and with each other. After all, we STILL vote for you.
Last year, the European Court of Human Rights called on Poland to regulate the issue of civil partnerships. At the end of April this year, the Minister for Equality, Katarzyna Kotula, responsible for preparing draft laws on marriage equality, said that Deputy Prime Minister Kosiniak-Kamysz was the brakeman in the government. “Perhaps Prime Minister Kosiniak-Kamysz, due to the next elections – this time the European elections – does not want to say today that he agrees to the government project on partnerships,” she said on TVN24. The European Parliament elections will take place on June 9.
